This garage had recently experienced a fire. The framing for the garage had heavy soot damage. The wood framing was a good candidate for our Ice Blasting Machine. We were able to clean and deodorize the framing rather than remove and replace it.

This is our Cold Jet Ice Blasting Machine. Here we can see one of our Project Managers loading Dry Ice into the machine. Ice Blasting is an efficient way to remove soot from a variety of building materials.

This piece of equipment is called an Air Scrubber. Used as a negative air machine or HEPA air scrubber to remove airborne contaminants after fire or smoke damage. Air enters the unit passing through two-stage HEPA filtration to remove airborne particles. Optional third stage activated carbon filter removes airborne gases and odors.

A tenant had a small lamp in his closet that was plugged in overnight. As you can see the lamp malfunctioned causing a fire to ignite. This goes to show why it is important to unplug light fixtures that we are not using, and to properly insure yourself by acquiring renters insurance.

In this photo we see our own Adam Smith holding a section of drywall that has been affected by smoke and soot during a fire. Our Course Instructor can be seen explaining how smoke and soot can become embedded in the drywall causing smoke odor to linger.

This was an aftermath of a kite electrical fire in Creve Coeur, MO when our crews of SERVPRO arrived on scene. The cause of the fire was due to a staple that was driven too tightly against a Romex electrical cable, which caused it to overheat and catch fire. Our crews were able to clean the soot from the walls and ceiling. We were also able to make the homeowners house "Like it never even happened." and no one  could not tell that there was any fire damage to their house.
